Are meals included with conference registration?Conference registration covers breakfast and lunch on both Friday and Saturday of the conference. Dinner is not included, although you can also sign up for our Friday Night Networking Pizza Party. How do I get the member rate?By becoming a member! As an individual, you can become a member of the Stewardship Network by donating $30 or more. Click here for more details on the benefits of individual memebrship. Or, if your organization is interested in becoming a member of the Stewardship Network, you can check into the benefits of organizational membership by clicking here. How can I double-check my membership status?Check you membership status by contacting Erin at the Stewardship Network office. She can be reached at emittendorf@stewardshipnetwork.org or by phone at (734) 996-3190. What times does the conference start and end?Registration on Friday, January 20th starts at 7:45 am Eastern Time, and the welcome will begin at 8:30 am with the first morning session starting soon after at 8:40 am. Closing remarks wrap up by 5:00 pm. However, other evening events that you can attend include the Poster Presentation (5:00 pm to 6:00 pm), the Networking Pizza Party (6:00 pm to 7:00 pm - additional registration and fee), and the Friday Evening program (7:30pm to 9:00 pm). Saturday morning begins with registration at 7:45 am for anybody who was not registered on Friday. The Welcome will start at 8:30 am and the first session will start at 8:40 am. The last session on Saturday wraps up at 12:50 pm followed by lunch (1:00 pm to 2:00 pm).

Where can I stay when I attend the conference?The Stewardship Network will reserve a block of rooms at the Hotel attached to the conference center. These rooms come at a discounted price and they fill up! Be sure to mention that you'll be attending the Science, Practice & Art of Restoring Native Ecosystem Conference when you're booking your room. While staying on site is convenient and the rooms are lovely, you are also welcome to find other accomdations in the East Lansing area. How can find others who would like to carpool?Check under the "room & ride share" tab here on the conference website (in the tool bar). We're using a Google Docs spreadsheet to track input we get from anyone who's looking to share a room or share a ride to the conference. If you'd like your information on the form, contact Erin at emittendorf@stewardshipnetwork.org. Include information for all of the fields on the form, and she'll get it up on the spreadsheet as soon as possible. How can I talk to someone about the conference?Give us a call or send us an email! Do you have a cancellation/refund policy?Yes! The policy changes the closer we get to the conference date because of the running around and final planning that needs to be done on our end. Please check the dates below for the information most relevant to your situation: By Friday, December 30th: Full refund minus $25 processing fee. Between Saturday, December 31st and Friday, January 6th: 50% refund. After Friday, January 6th: No refund, but materials sent if cancelled. When is the deadline for call for submissions?Abstracts submitted specifically for oral presentations will be accepted until Friday, September 30th. Abstracts submitted specifically for poster presentation will be accepted until Friday, October 14th. If you have an extreme situation and will not be able to meet these deadlines, please contact our office to let us know. We'd like to include as many submissions as we can within reason of our planning needs, and we're willing to consider mitigating circumstances on a case-by-case basis. If I submitted a presentation, when will I be notified?All individuals who have submitted an abstract for poster or oral presentation at the 2012 conference will be contacted by November 4th if their presentation has been accepted. How can my business/organization/agency become a sponsor?Organizations can become sponsors of or vendors at the conference by making a financial contribution. Compare your options and benefits by reading through our Sponsors and Exhibitors information. If you're already familiar with the levels and are ready to make a contribution, you can do so through this quick and easy online Sponsorship Form. The sponsorship form can also be printed and sent in with a check.
